Christian and Elizabeth are finishing up college and planning on attending law school together. They are absolutely in love – and you think completely devoted to one another. An unexpected surprise send Elizabeth down a path that wasn’t part of her plan, and she fully expects to have the support of the man she loves. And then the unthinkable happens – Christian asks Elizabeth to make a choice, him or the baby. Elizabeth can’t understand Christian’s worry of how a domineering father will react. He is after all, supposed to take over his father’s firm once he finishes law school. Elizabeth’s choice is simple. Always a child advocate, Elizabeth walks away from everything that is Christian and moves to California to be with family. A friend that she worked with becomes her greatest support and an important significant other for awhile. But they quickly learn their relationship is best left at friends. Christian goes on with his life, finishes law school, and does exactly what he was always expected to do – take over his father’s west coast office. But he is filled with regret and a level of sadness that he just can’t seem to recover from, until one day his eyes travel to a beautiful young girl that grabs a hold of his heart like nothing before. That girl is none other than his daughter!! This book just makes you root for this entire family. I rooted for Elizabeth when she finally comes face to face with the man that broke her heart. I rooted for Christian while he attempts to reconnect with and build a relationship with his girls. Once again this dialogue drive story has a storyline that just never quits, and is filled with a cast of strong secondary characters that drive Christian and Elizabeth’s lives. I absolutely LOVED the slow build up to their reunion. This is an amazing love story about redemption and true love. A.L. Jackson has found a new fan in Gone Readin’!! Keep them coming!!!
