SEARCH ME by Katie AshlelyMY HEART LOVES A HAPPY ENDING!!

heartheartheart

Katie Ashley delivers another great story, and gives her readers something new: action, adventure and YES still a romance story.  This book has so many twists and turns, it was difficult to see where it was going – and that was fun! This is definitely a different type of book from Ms. Ashley, and it kind of reminded me of the movie – “The Goonies”.  This is the story of Lane and Maddox. Maddox Diaz is confronted with, Lane, the girl he can’t seem to forget when she returns to the country atmosphere for her summertime family vacation. Lane, still head over heels in love with Maddox, is harboring some residual feelings due to their last encounter. Suddenly they are thrust into a mysterious treasure seeking game with armed and ruthless criminals. While on this crazy adventure, the two begin to share their feelings, and fall in love along the way. I wasn’t crazy about Lane, but loved Maddox, and would have LOVED IT MORE if I heard the entire story from his point of view. The writing is most definitely the work of Katie Ashley – fabulous work. This is a dialogue driven story, which adds to the adventurous story. I dropped this one to THREE HEARTS because I just didn’t believe in the love story. The plot was great, the dialogue was great, the secondary characters were great – all what I believe makes a great book. But the romance fell a bit flat and therefore the love story was just not believable. Overall, it was a quick and easy read with a sweet happy ending that I finished in one afternoon.
