the perfect gameMY HEART IS FULL OF LOVE!!

heartheartheartheart

Cassie likes Jack but is turned off by everything he stands for. She doesn’t trust him or his smooth pick up lines – but falls for him anyway. Jack is interested because Cassie is the first girl who hasn’t thrown herself at him – in fact he’s intrigued and the chase begins.

I have mixed feelings regarding this story. I loved the beginning and the development of the love story for Jack Carter and Cassie. I enjoyed Jack’s back story, and was intrigued by his relationship with his brother and grandparents and enjoyed their witty interaction. His story makes the reader want to love him – even though you shouldn’t. What I didn’t like was Jack became exactly what Cassie thought he was – and that’s when the plot begins to really takes a turn for me. The author is a gifted storyteller, and I thought using Jack’s background with his own parents was a unique way to redeem and grow his character. I love secondary characters, and Cassie’s BFF and Jack’s brother just weren’t enough. BUT – LOVED THOSE GRANDPARENTS!! I love the wisdom they bring to the story. The BEST part of story was Jack showing up with his bag of quarters on his first date with Cassie – and I loved how the author wove that act throughout of the entire story.
