MY HEART LOVES A HAPPY ENDING!!
Cage lost Willow to Marcus. Things go downhill fast. A DUI puts his baseball scholarship is danger, so he’s sent away by his coach for some time to pull his life together. Working on a farm, Cage meets and develops a relationship with the owner’s daughter Eva. Eva is recovering from a broken heart. He first boyfriend, from the age of SEVEN, her first kiss at TEN, her first date at FIFTEEN, becomes her first tragedy at EIGHTEEN. On his first tour, he is killed in Iraq. This becomes the story of Cage and Eva romance. But I just didn’t feel it. I like romance – and this one just felt a little … dirty. Eva’s story is just too sweet, and Cage is just too much of a player to believe this VERY SUDDEN transformation. I just wasn’t thrilled with the ending. This one is a little bit of a letdown from Sea Breeze #2 Because of Low. Characters lacked depth – perhaps because of the lack of a great supporting cast. Overall a quick and easy read, but will I read it again – not likely!
