SAFE WITH MEAnd they just keep getting better …

Safe With Me is the fifth installment in Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Series, and this is Brynna and Caleb’s story. We first met Brynna in Under the Mistletoe with news of her impending move home. Hearing her story, the Montgomery men jump into action. Brynna has left Chicago after she witnesses something truly horrific. As a single mother of twin girls, her immediate reaction is to protect her children. So she packs them up quickly and returns to her hometown and family. Isaac Montgomery is married to her cousin Stacy, and he gives her a job that pays under the table. She moves in to Jules and Natalie’s house, and has Matt and Caleb Montgomery as her personal bodyguards. Caleb takes his job so serious, he moves in and completely falls in love with Brynna and her girls. Caleb, a retired Navy Seal is running from his own ghosts. Suffering from PTSD after serving multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Caleb’s nights are filled with nightmares. He believes, the bottom line is, he’s just not good enough for anyone – especially Brynna. Here’s what is completely fabulous in all of Proby’s books. First, she delivers a lot of sizzle but doesn’t forget the romance. Second, each story is wrapped up by the end of the book – no cliffhangers!! THANK GOD!! Third, all the previous characters that we fell in love with are back. There’s a particularly poignant moment with Jules and Nate – and all the other couples we love so much are back as well. Finally, we gain some insight into a particularly troubling topic – PTSD. Everyone should look at all the good work The Wounded Warrior Project does, and see what you can do to help! Proby’s books are quick and fun to read. Looking forward to Tied With Me, Matt and Nic’s story out in the spring 2014. My only disappointment is that I have to wait that long!!!
